Regional Behavioral Health Community Listening Session
Join Us for a Community Listening Session!
Hey, Otero County—you matter, and we want to hear from YOU!
We are hosting listening sessions across our region, because community voices = better community care.
We’re gathering stories, ideas, and local insight to help New Mexico redesign a stronger, more caring, easier-to-access behavioral and mental health and substance use support system.
The state needs to understand:
What’s working in mental health and substance use support,
What’s missing or hard to access,
and what healing and support should look like here in our own communities.
This feedback will help build the multi-year behavioral health plan for the Otero, Lincoln, and Mescalero-Apache region—focused on crisis care, early support for youth, family wellbeing, prevention, treatment, and long-term community resilience.
Multiple in-person sessions will be held throughout Otero County December 15 – 19th, 2024, followed by a virtual session on January 7, 2026. This isn’t a lecture. It’s a conversation.
A space to speak openly about what our families, neighbors, veterans, workers, students, tribal communities, and caregivers really need to thrive.
